Koyaanisqatsi (Life Out of Balance)
Powaqqatsi (Life in Transformation)
Naqoyqatsi (Life as War)
No words, no plot, just breath taking montages. These films are really inspirational and thought provoking, everyone should check them out.
AWESOME sound tracks too! (composed by Philip Glass)
http://www.amazon.co...&v=glance&n=130
Also, did anyone happen to catch Glass' live performance a few months ago at the Davies Symphony Hall? I got to chance to see Powaqqatsi. One word -- AMAZING.

The original versions of these horror flicks:
The Amittivile Horror
The Fog
The Exorcist
The Omen
The Hills Have Eyes
Anything with Vincent Price in it,classic!
I also enjoy Hammer Films very much, I think Christopher Lee refined the role of the count (he, in his younger days, resembled Vlad Tepes).
Nosfreatu
All the Universal Monster movies!
Bela lugosi (I will pay a mid-night vist to you at your grave at Holy Cross Cemetary, you are awsome!).
Boris Karloff (I dont know if you now this, because of one of your movies that lame ass band BLACK SABBATH is where they got there name from, they totally suck now, not thanks to all those johnny come latelys!) you will always be The Frankenstin Monster!
Lon Chaney
King Kong
All of them classic!
Alfed Hitchcock movies are swell just the same, after all who among us has not felt "vertigo" on a few occasions when you mightve medicated to much? Its enough to drive you "psycho"....
metropolis
fantasia
The Car
Death Wish(All of them)
Devils Rain
Edward Sissor Hands
So many movies so little time!
Too hell with todays horror movies, they all suck giant sweaty monkey balls, thats why theres a need for re-makes of old classic horror, no insperation in horror films today or the ppl produceing them. Much like with everything trendy & pop cultured, ALL IMAGE "NO" CONTENT! Worthy crap of being tossed out like yesturday trash.

What in the bleep= this may bot be the correct title but if you say that at a video store they know what you mean its about quantam physics and to me it's actual phd's discussinmg the subjects we spoke abnout when havuing a spiriotuakl awakening trip! Good food for thought and can't stop thinking or taking about it with my hubby and kids.
The Butterfly Affect- Aston Kushner
Memento-
Sideways-
The RaptureMimi Rogers and david Ducovney-sp?
SOOO amny thers with different non typical holloywood formula movies that work and make you thikn and so on. I like a move I can't figure out right away even after its over or anyone that makes me conversate abbout it's mesage or style or anything.
I love moves always have and aio am actaully trying my hand at writinmg a screenplay so I don;t see movies the way I used to. i am taking classes in screbwtriting and I am learnig a lot andf it's difficult to see movies without tearing thwem apart ny sceen descriptions or how it was presented on the written page. Its a whole new area of writing for me. i am published in many places but never in the screenwriting genryu so we'll se how it goes. i'm having fun doing it which is important but more importantly I am learning. i love learning. To not continue to learn is a waste of our huge unused brains, so I take every opportunity to learn anything new and exciting. It really keeps your life interesting! Happy watching movies, there are some fantastic flicks people have listed here and also happy learning!
E
PS we'll get it together! somehow, someway, sometime and something jwill make it all work out. It always does. It just has to take it's place in line as I am too busy and working against deadlines. "Life is what happens when you busy making other plans!"~John Lennon That is by far one of my favorite quotes by anyone ever, it says so much with so few words!
Gotta run,

Also, "Cat Soup". Psychedelic, surrealist animation about... um... well, you watch it and tell me what it's about.
