^^^ That was a classic.  I'm also reading Stephen King right now - Duma Key.  I'm about halfway thru, and so far it's pretty good.  Typical King fare - real life slowly steps aside to reveal something supernatural, only this time while the characters eat astronaut chicken instead of cheez doodles.

So we are reading King in synchro, Alex... it must be ka

Eat Love and Pray - have been reading it a little bit at a time, trying to stretch it out.  Like it a lot.  It surely is like a chick flick book, I think.  Although I am wondering if any real men have read it?  Or for that matter any women here on the site?  Some of it is rofl and some of it not.

Long ago I read Hunter and he was my idol with Fear & Loathing.

Another favorite down memory lane is Hugh Prather, Wipe your Face you just swallowed my soul! Another book which was his best, Notes to Myself, there was a third I touch the earth, and earth touches me. These were from the early 70's.  Still have them.:couch2:

I LOVE Stephen King & I think his book "The Stand" is his Best work!!! You probably finished it by now Alex, I hope you read it faster then I did- it took me 3 years of putting it down & daring to pick it up again(Kept having BAD dreams of everything burning!) I have read it 3 times since then!!                  Right now I have just finished 2 books from Dean Koontz- Odd Thomas & Forever Odd.  I have never got into his writings but enjoyed both these books about a guy who "sees dead people!"  There are 2 more that are written about this same character "Odd" & I will be reading them next!
